As a Kerry wedding DJ I love to play weddings in the Killarney Oaks Hotel. It is a beautiful wedding venue with some fantastic staff. It is located on the edge of Killarney town on the World famous Muckross Road, overlooking the mountains and beautiful Kerry countryside. The function room has plenty of space for big wedding functions and a massive dance floor to party the night away. This Christmas wedding had the added benefit of having the room done up in lovely decorations, topped off with a floor to ceiling tree. The fairy light garland dressed all around the room really brought the Christmas feeling into the function room.
I have been a Kerry Wedding DJ in Killarney at many weddings but this function was a local neighbor who got married. There were a lot of familiar faces at the wedding including some of my own family (no added pressure). J90 Wedding Band from Cork played the first half of the nights entertainment and had the floor full from the very start. The wedding had a wide range of ages to cater for with many different tastes in music. After speaking with the couple about the music they had no specific requests only to keep everyone dancing. I played a good mix of songs from a local nightclub that would have been well known to the couple as well as many of the guests attending. Looking at the couples testimonial after they said it was like them being back in their teenage disco days!

I have been a Wedding DJ for several years and have played countless weddings in Killarney including many in the Killarney Oaks. I am familiar with nearly every wedding venue in Kerry and have played there at least once. It is great peace of mind to know a supplier knows a venue and has worked there in the past. There is far less organisation from a couple’s stand point and a lot less questions on a suppliers side. When I know a venue I can arrive, load in and set up without the need to ask staff or cause any obstructions. It makes for a smooth and seamless transition on the night.
